Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Soteria International Group Limited (Soteria Consulting) is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in accordance with the UK Government’s Climate Change Act and the requirements of PPN 06/21.

Introduction

Soteria Consulting is committed to reducing its environmental impact and supporting the transition to a low carbon economy. This Carbon Reduction Plan sets out our baseline emissions, current emissions reporting, reduction targets, and the initiatives we are implementing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across our operations and value chain.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

  • Baseline Year: 2024

  • Baseline Emissions:

    • Scope 1 (Direct emissions): 150 tCO2e

    • Scope 2 (Indirect energy emissions): 100 tCO2e

    • Scope 3 (Value chain emissions): 200 tCO2e

Scope 3 breakdown:

  • Upstream transportation and distribution: 50 tCO2e

  • Waste generated in operations: 20 tCO2e

  • Business travel: 60 tCO2e

  • Employee commuting: 30 tCO2e

  • Downstream transportation and distribution: 40 tCO2e

         Total Baseline Emissions: 450 tCO2e

Reporting Year: 2025

Reporting Period Ending: January 2026

  • Scope 1: 150 tCO2e

  • Scope 2: 100 tCO2e

  • Scope 3: 200 tCO2e

  • Total Emissions: 450 tCO2e

Emissions for the 2025 reporting period remain consistent with the 2024 baseline as Soteria continues to develop improved measurement and monitoring processes for greenhouse gas emissions.

Emissions Reduction Targets
To achieve Net Zero by 2050, we have set the following targets:

  • 25% reduction (to 338 tCO2e) by 2030.

  • 50% reduction (to 225 tCO2e) by 2040.

  • 100% reduction (Net Zero emissions) by 2050.

We are committed to tracking our progress annually to ensure we meet these milestones.

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Projects

  1. Energy Efficiency improvements including LED/PIR lighting and energy monitoring systems.

  2. Increased use of virtual meetings to reduce business travel.

  3. Enhanced recycling and waste management processes across operations.

Proposed Projects

  1. Transition to renewable electricity suppliers where possible.

  2. Engagement with suppliers to reduce Scope 3 emissions.

  3. Employee sustainability awareness programmes.

  4. Exploration of certified carbon offsetting schemes for residual emissions.
